Managing Partner at Black Brick, Camilla Dell, was recently asked to speak to Property Soup to discuss the return of strengthened property transactions in Prime London.

As reported in our September Market Update, buyers are becoming increasingly accustomed to political and economic uncertainty. Data from Knight Frank, cited in the report, shows that transactions across prime London rose by 14% in the three months to July, compared with the same period in 2025. Prime Central London saw a more modest 3% increase, while Black Brick reports growing levels of enquiries and new clients ahead of the Autumn Budget.

Camilla Dell says current demand is being driven predominantly by buyers looking for homes to live in, including domestic purchasers seeking main residences and international buyers relocating to London or purchasing a pied-à-terre.

“The buyers that are left, are looking for a place to live and they have stopped talking about politics and instability. That feels like the norm now.”

Dell also highlights the opportunity created by lower property values –

“The drop in values across prime London is a sweetener for a lot of clients who have been waiting for some time to buy.”
