"With our family growing, we were looking to upgrade from our small space in Bethnal Green to a larger family home in North London. We initially managed the search ourselves, but after 6 months of looking become a little dispirited at the difficulty of finding something in our price range.

We were unsure about whether a buying agent was worthwhile for us, but came to the conclusion that buying a family home was probably the biggest investment we would ever make, and it made sense to have experts to help guide us through. We had an initial meeting with Camilla and the Black Brick team and were immediately impressed with their market knowledge, professionalism and their ability to give us an independent view as to what we could realistically achieve on our budget.

Jamie was our point of contact at Black Brick and he provided us with tremendous support through the whole process.  In our case, we actually found a property relatively quickly – but what we hadn’t immediately appreciated was the support that Jamie would also provide in managing the whole purchase process from offer through to completion. Through the offer negotiation, Jamie’s market knowledge meant that we were making informed decisions about the true value of the property and resulted in us achieving a price well below the seller’s initial asking price. In addition, the chain was quite complex, and once the offer had been accepted, Jamie really took it on himself to manage the entire chain to make sure that it all went through. Jamie really went above and beyond what we had expected – if he hadn’t been involved, the purchase would never have happened.

In summary although we had initial doubts as to whether a buying agent would make sense for us, we found their support invaluable in helping us achieve our goal and finding a great family home. The investment was definitely worthwhile (both financially and in time and effort) and we would have no hesitation in using Black Brick again or recommending them to others."
