We were retained by a Ukrainian family who were looking for a good quality family house to buy in North London. The house needed to be in immaculate, move in ready condition, as they didn’t have the appetite or time to take on any work. They also wanted to be on a quiet road with good connectivity to Central London and Hertfordshire where their children are at school.
North London is a very broad area. Multiple locations could have worked for the family. Searching thoroughly requires an enormous amount of time, patience, good contacts and local area knowledge. We covered multiple areas as part of our research for the client, leaving no stone un-turned.
We secured a fabulous 6-bedroom detached house on a gated development next to a nature reserve in Barnet. It was in the perfect location for the family as it was just short walk to Cockfosters tube station and a short drive to the schools.
The house was in excellent condition and required very little, if any work. It was exactly what they were looking for. Added to this were able to negotiate a £100,000 discount from the reduced asking price. Far in excess of our fee.
